As you may know, the Terry Fox Run has always been very important to people in the Village of Milo. COVID-19 protocols mean that we need to do things a little differently than previous years, however we still want to honour Terry’s memory, and raise awareness and funds for cancer treatment and research. We will do a school based walk this FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 25 STARTING AT 11:00. Mrs. Woofenden will lead us through a warm up on the field outside, then we will walk around the Village (please make sure to return the GREEN form which gives students permission to use the facilities and public areas in and around no later than Friday). Students have been assigned a staff member who will walk (socially distantly of course) with the group. We will walk until noon, then return to the school where students will be offered 2 slices of pizza (to be served following COVID protocols) from the Milo Café for lunch.* Please let us know if you would prefer that we not offer your child pizza. Families and community members may join as well, providing they walk with their family group only, and notify the staff that their child will not be with the school group. Family members may bring a lunch to share socially distantly on the field outside.
